Albino Alligator: Disheartening flick in regards to a trio of dysfunctional lawbreakers who hide out in a basement bar in New Orleans, accidentally starting a crisis. In the mean time, the Feds assemble outside, imagining a much more perilous and desired lawbreaker is holed up inside. Spacey's directorial debut presents an excellent cast and gets off to a promising start, however it sputters to a dramatic stop midway through. Cast includes Matt Dillon, Faye Dunaway, Gary Sinise, William Fichtner, Viggo Mortensen, John Spencer, and Skeet Ulrich. Cast includes Emmet Walsh, Joe Mantegna, Frankie Faison, and Melinda McGraw. The Barretts of Wimpole Street: Handsome, well-performed, and most amusing MGM production of classic romance between Elizabeth Barrett and Robert Browning in 19th century England. Director Franklin redid this 2 years later. Cast includes Norma Shearer, Fredric March, Charles Laughton, and Ian Wolfe. (110 minutes, 1934)
Framed: Railroaded to prison, Baker pledges reprisal on the corrupt cops who set him there. The author, director, and megastar of Walking Tall is old hands at this sort of action melodrama, and make the most of the opportunity. Cast includes Joe Don Baker, Conny Van Dyke, Gabriel Dell, John Marley, Brock Peters, and Roy Jenson. (106 minutes, 1975)
Act of the Heart: A religious based film that deals with religion and people who become obsessed with it. Just Around The Corner: Simple minded comedy in which Shirley single handedly ends her state of depression by exploiting the pessimistic lawyer Gillingwater into creating new jobs.
