Reasons Someone Would Favor a Square Folding Card Table?

By Brian Garvin

We could think up many different reasons why someone would use a square folding card table, and certainly, you may be able to as well. We likely would not come up with the same reasons, so we will examine a few of them further. Certainly, you may be left with a few new ideas.

Dimensions of the Room

This is commonly the first thing that is different form most people's replies. You have probably arranged furniture in a room before, and found that when trying to move a chair or couch against a wall, it just looked out of place or too big. This happens often, and is the reason that most furniture outside of your sitting area is square shaped.

Now because the walls have squared corners, it is ideal to have a square folding card table that you can place to fit in nicely in a certain area. A good idea would be to situate it between two recliners, and there it can serve as a regular table, but when the weekend comes, it will become a poker table.

The Size

Keep in mind we have a smaller version that we enjoy playing Blackjack on, but if you need something for Holdem it's out there. However, size is important when it comes to a Square Folding Card Table. So when you take a look at them, make sure you check all the variations out there.

Keeping It Out Of Sight

There are many places you can stash away a square folding card table. However, there are not certainly as many places where you can easily hide a round one. A convenient thing to do when wanting to hide away your table is that you can just fold it up and fit it nicely along a back wall, and pull it out when you want to use it next.

We have a buddy that bought a round style table and stashed it underneath his bed when he was a kid. His family did not like any gambling and the only way he could have his friends over to play, was by having the games in his room and he kept the door locked. Eventually, his family discovered the table because of the round borders that were obvious on each side and were easily spied by a family member. Now you may not have these restrictions in your life, however it simply adds to our point.

The Appeal

In the end things will just mesh well together with a Square Folding Card Table. If you plan on keeping it out in the open, you want it to look appealing, not like a sore thumb. Plus, can you imagine having to rearrange the entire home because you can't find a good spot for your new card table? It's just a few things to think about when you get ready to buy one of these.
